STATEMENT
One Pump Court Chambers fully supports the decision of the CBA to take industrial action in our dispute over pay. In the context of a cost of living crisis we demand an immediate increase in fees, a full pay review, and the index-linking of fees. As workers in the legal system we also stand with other workers to demand an across-the-board increase in pay in the sector.
From 27 June 2022 Members of the One Pump Court Crime Team will not be available for work remunerated under the Advocates Graduated Fee Scheme on any days listed by the CBA as Days of Action, until the conclusion of the present dispute with the Ministry of Justice.
In instances where Members have been booked for work on dates they are no longer available Chambers is taking all reasonable steps to rearrange hearing dates.
Members of the One Pump Court Crime Team will also not be accepting new work remunerated under the Advocates Graduated Fee Scheme until the conclusion of the present dispute.
Finally, Members of the One Pump Court Crime Team will continue not to accept returns until the conclusion of the present dispute.
WE ARE RECRUITING
