Ruby is fluent in Urdu and Hindi and has a basic understanding of other Asian languages and cultures.

Ruby is an active Personal Investor and Business Angel; focusing on Renewable and Sustainable Energy projects. She acts as a senior advisor for a well known UK based Finance House.

Since 1998/9, she has been a management committee member of the Asian Women’s Resource Centre, continually elected as Committee Secretary, and sits on the board of trustees.

The center provides services for women and children throughout London and beyond, with its ethos focusing on empowering vulnerable women and children. Ruby’s work for the centre has provided her with a particular insight into difficult family issues affecting Asian women.
