The Appellants, a mother and child from Iran, applied to join the Sponsor, a British citizen who had previously had refugee status in the UK. Errors in the marriage certificate (and with a further “corrected” marriage certificate) had led the First Tier Tribunal to twice refuse appeals against refusals of leave to enter. Margo acted in the appeal against the second FTT refusal, successfully arguing that there were insurmountable obstacles to family life continuing outside the UK.
